The reason [I] sometimes post large [photos] is because bmp[']s can[']t be uploaded....

There's a solution for that, although it takes a few extra steps. (Assumes you have a PC, and are attempting to upload photos from the public domain.)

Copy the photo.
Open Microsoft Paint.
Paste the photo.
Reduce the size of the photo to about 480 x 640 pixels.
Save photo in .jpg format.
Upload the photo, here.
Sit back and enjoy the accolades.

right click on the page were the picture is

go to View Page Info

A new window will pop up

Go to media

and scroll down until you see the picture

Save as

and voila.

also works for most pictures that have been disable for download
