Check out the 1966 film "Lt. Robin Crusoe USN". Van Dyke plays a Navy Pilot who is stranded on a tropical island and he sets life up a'la Robinson Crusoe but ends up more like Gilligan. There are several shots of his barefeet ... one amazing sequence has him crawling on all fours with his soles directly to the camera. Great shots.
