...Almost two years ago to the day, Sgt. Brandon Sanford, a dog handler working with the 4th Infantry Division, was inside his Stryker troop carrier near Taji in central Iraq when a bomb exploded. The blast sent Sanford and his dog, Rexo, hurtling against the walls. Although dazed, Sanford shrugged off the headaches and dizziness he experienced and continued working. Eventually the blast took its toll and he couldn't understand his 10-year-old son's math homework. Today, Sanford said that he is able to finish making meals more quickly. He can now perform two tasks at once, instead of only one. He is getting better at managing his own medications and his balance has improved. Both he and his dog were awarded the Purple Heart for shrapnel wounds they received in the explosion:

Ben is barefoot on the beach in his latest music video for the song "Can't Hold Us" though they don't reveal much. I was just excited to see him barefoot.
