I'd like to note that all three of the above poems were inspired by the excellent photoshoot of Carmine at MyFriendsFeet. Why do I feel this is significant for me and maybe others? Because Carmine represents an ideal of beauty and masculinity that we might even call unattainable. But in my own life I have attained this beauty, and I know many of you also have. The ideal of foot love beauty that Carmine symbolizes is something that many of us have experienced and our experiences motivate us to be better people, better fighters for our causes and more positive models for friends and lovers.

Angels and demons fight between your toes
for touch and taste in gardens of delight.
Angels and demons lift in song and prose
the glories of your feet both day and night.
With them we say
