This charming photograph came my way, this morning, and, for obvious reasons, I thought you might all enjoy seeing it.

It's a pity we can't see enough detail to make out the date on the issue of the Times he's reading, but he must have been in his fifties when this photograph was taken, don't you think? I wonder who took the photo and why the famous author allowed himself to be photographed naked like this?

Very handsome soles, I think; Shale and wncMTNfoot will probably share my delight in their somewhat "grimy" look!

Interesting. I've always been convinced that Ernie was a closet case in deep denial. Any man who was best friends with Marlene Dietrich had to have been gay. But that's a whole other topic ...
