A Peek at Peck's: 1946

On a list of old photographs I follow, were posted these two charming pictures of Gregory Peck, co-starring with Beatrice Straight, in John Millington Synge's The Playboy of the Western World appeared today. The production was from Boston, in 1946.

I can't really remember seeing Gregory Peck's bare feet, let alone his soles, in any of his movies. Can anybody else?

Was he in "The yearling"? I think there's a scene where either he or whoever starred in this movie sitting in front of the fire barefoot. Was he in houseboat with Sophia Loren or was that Cary Grant. There's a scene of the star getting on the boat a taking his shoes and socks off.

No that was Cary Grant.

You can see Grant's soles in A Touch Of Mink with Doris Day. He is seen in the back of a cab, changing his clothes, and in putting his pants on, he sticks his barefeet up on the back of the front seat.
