Sexual appeal is in large part completely subjective, I think. Moreover, there is an almost infinate gradiation in color of skin. The great majority of American Blacks are descendants of the Black population of the U.S., slave and 'free people of color', that inhabited this country in 1860. As I have read and understand it, tye typical Black American in actuality is genetically no more than 70% Black, the balance of the genetic inheritance being Caucasian, Amerindian, etc. In addition, although it is little known among Caucasian Americans, Blacks from the African continent likewise have differing geographical points of origin in Africa, and there are significant differences among African Blacs to this very day. Thus, it is as true of Black people today as it is of Caucasians that there is no such thing as a "pure recial make-up." There are some visual similarties observable among members of a particular 'in-group,' but there are also infinite individualities as well, irrespective of whether a person under consideration thinks of himself as being Black or Caucasian or Oriental.

It is the infinite variation among individual people that makes it impossible, objectively speaking, to engage in forming a hard generalized conclusion that "I would only date a Caucasian" or "I would only date a Black". As the author of the article acknowledged, though, many individuals do adopt a racialist criterian in deciding who attracts him erotically-sexually versus who does not. I have myself known several Black guys who told me that they were interested only in other 'men of color'. I have known more Black guys, though, who are sexually interested only in Caucasian men.

I have myself enjoyed a liaison with three different guys who thought of themselves as a 'man of color'. The first one I met, age 25, while I was at university (I will call him "A"). He wasn't a student. He was a checker at a local supermarket. Visually A was obviously a man of mixed race--Black and Caucasian. He was a tall guy, 6 foot 3, and he was in extremely good physical condition. His skin color was very light--sort of very pale coffee-and-lots-of-milk in tone. His eye color was hazel, not dark brown. His outstanding characteristic visually was that he was an extremely handsome and masculine guy. He was warm and friendly, and one day as I was passing through the check-out line he handed me s little note with his name and telephone number scribed on it, along with the notation: "Call me!"

I telephone him that evening, and we got to talking together. He told me plainly that he was very attracted to me, and when he asked me if I found him attractive, I of course told him the truth--that I thought he was beautiful. We ended up conversing over the phone for a couple of hours that evening. After I had told him what my personal sexual interests were (meaning masculine feet, among other things), he asked me a number of questions about that, as I also did of him about "what he liked", and the long-and-short of it was that we made a date to get togeter a couple evenings later. A had voluntarily told me about his feet, and they sounded darn near perfect for me, given my special interest in masculine feet.

When we had our first date (he came to my apartment for dinner and whatever would happen afterwards), I quickly decided that he was a very sexy and attractive man, so when he offered to go to my bedroom with me, I accepted with enthusiasm and excitement. When his shoes and socks came off, his size 12 feet were absolutely a knock-out to me--they looked great, they smelled great, and they felt great. Although A had never done anything before sexually involving feet, he responded incredibly when I began playing with his big soft feet. He turned out to be extremely ticklish on his feet, as well as every place else on his body. And A learned that being erotically tickled and careesed made him wildly horny and aroused. Anyway, I enjoyed the relationship the rest of that school year.

The important thing, it seems to me, is to remember that person-to-person involvement is relational and personal in nature. It's not a racial thing or "making a statement" about anything. If two people enjoy each other's company and sex together, then it's a go--so go with it.

First, when I was young the only people i fooled around with was other AAs (African American). Of course this was when you were scared as hell to express your sexual disires. The first pair of feet I tried to have fun with of course were family members and freinds etc. trying to be slick. (this was late 60s and 70s. As I got older and more free with my feelings I devoped a fetish for white feet. Then I got into the role playing of the white man being served by his black boy i.e. getting his white feet worshipped. Along the way though I do find Arab, Latin, Asian and Middle Eastern feet attractive. I won't say I'm not attractive to feet of my own race but, I really crave other ethnic groups.

It's funny to see this poll here. Oddly enough that has been one of my biggest hang ups in regards to my foot fetish. Even though I'm latino I'm very fair skinned (mom was an irish red head). Ever since I can remember I've only been attractive to feet that are real white. If they're really white and the soles are super red it drives me even wilder. But even a mild tan on feet that I already like turn me off. I honestly don't get it. I kinda learned to just accept it but it's so odd...

Babaman accept your particular turnon as exactly what it is--YOUR turnon. Your perception (manner of responding to it) is what makes it seem "odd." It is "odd" only in your mind. You're doing OK. This is a interesting topic you posted Jason. As a gay black male myself, I find myself primarily attracted to white males, and especially their feet. I've always been attracted to white guys ever since I was about 12 or 13.

I think because at the time my family and I lived in a mostly white suburb, and as my sexuality started developing, most of the guys that were around me were white, and I started developing "crushes" on them, which I liked.

I also found as I went through Junior and Senior high school, the white guys were usually kinder to me, and not nearly as homophobic as the black male students were. I guess that's why (at times) I feel more comfortable being around white people than blacks, and I find the overall shape, color and texture of white guy's feet to be more attractive to me than those of black men's feet.

I don't feel that white people are better human beings than black people. In fact sometimes I think the opposite is true, because I think at times black people act more sincere and down to earth, and lack the phony pretentions and arrogant, materialistic attitudes that a lot of white people(in my opinion) possess.

And I as well often struggle with the feelings of rage, envy and attraction that I have for white males. I think some of them are wonderful people, and others who I think are real jerks! But I guess you can say that about any group of people, can't you?

I didn't mean to go on so long, but this topic really brought out a lot of mixed feelings in me. Thanks for bringing it up.

Uhhhh, I have to say something here.

I see some black guys with gorgeous feet, shape texture and color and I see some white guys with awful uncared for feet or with a shape I don't like and vice versa.


Also trust me, there are Plenty of homophobic white guys in the world.

Homophobia is a straight male Problem/Hang-up, notice I said problem and not "issue". Homophobia transcends all nationalities when it comes to straight males, it gets passed on to younger straight males too.

Before anybody jumps down my throat I am not saying that all straight males are homophobic, but plenty enough are.

I might add that there are a fair enough amount of homosexuals who are homophobic too...alot of those are out there "passing" for straight...

I suppose I am lucky that I love any "color" feet as long as they are attractive to me, well groomed, relatively clean and Most of all if they are attached to a cool guy that I like. That would also include body type and age of the guy if I think he is hot as well.


Also I know there are plenty of black people who are just as preoccupied with only wearing "label" clothing or driving certain type cars as there are white people who find the same things just as important to their "status" or public image.

Lots of people can be arrogant or insincere no matter what their color or nationality. That is a matter of self perception and/or esteem.

i think its important that we understand how we're socialized and why we like what we like. sometimes we just do and its not all deep and stuff but i think its worth considering.

i'm a "str8" black male attracted to the feet of other black men. i don't desire to do anything with black men sexually (or white men), its just a foot thing for me, particularly trampling. there's an ocassional white guy whose feet i might like and its usually a tanned foot.

Personally race is not an issue to me. I do have my own preferances of what I'm attracted to in a foot, and have found feet on white, and black guys that I did not like. I'm not into extremely wide flat feet, but almost anything else goes. :)

Gr8 article. I'm pretty much a 50/50 guy, in general and with feet, and have had some very great experiences both within (Black) and outside of the race. I think our tastes are our tastes, and generally no cause for shame - there are racial exclusivists who I think have some regressive kinds of ideas independent of their sexuality, but that's another topic.

I do tend to get personally weirded out by racial role-playing in general or in sexual situations, simply because my experiences with guys of many different ethnic backgrounds have (as often as not) defied any number of generally accepted stereotypes; a positive and enhancing thing IMO.

And there's great feet of all ethnicities...

First off, excuse me for bumping this old post. I usually hang out in the pix forum and seldom get here. In fact, I'm trying to run down some sources for a friend doing research for a college sexuality class on fetish.

Anyhow, I am not really into the fetish as many are here. I am into feet as a sensual body part that turns me on. I am really into the aesthetics of feet that turn me on. Described it in a couple of articles as rounded heel, high arch, smooth preferred, toes lined up in an arch with none protruding beyond the others, and rounded little orbs on long toes. I like a little smell and that I think is the same as crotch and pit odors, it represents a total intimacy when you are privy to smell those secret parts.

Now, the race thing. Very few black men's feet appeal to me. It is not a matter of color. In fact I have a thing for chocolate - the rich brown color excites me, as well as the general body shape of people from Africa. However most black men's feet that I have seen are long, narrow and with low arch. (One guy, very deep dark brown had a high arch foot with rounded balls and toes that I remember because it was so unusual)

So, I leave my black lovers feet alone for the most part and enjoy their bubble butt, slim waist with wide shoulders and pecs and abs. Now, just like roped, let me say before everyone jumps on me - YES there are black people out there with feet shaped like I like them (Mentioned one in fact). Not all black men have bubble butts (but it is more common with Africans) :roll:

And, I am still trying to determine if my lust for brown skin is itself a fetish.

I was munching away at what I thought was a Puerto Rican dude's feet until about 15 minutes into it I asked, "so are you Puerto Rican, Cuban?" in which he replied, "no, I'm black". My mind and mouth immediately froze, and I thought to myself, how am I going to get out of THIS tactfully without making it look like a racist retreat act?, lol.

Overall, I luv white dudes' feet, like latino feet (if they are more Spanish decent rather than Native American), and would consider a Black (carmel color) dude's feet - but only he was really cute and had really hot feet. Asian feet is totally off limits. I don't dislike asians at all, I just don't find them sexually attractive. Arab feet are hot as long as they aren't hairy, and I probably wouldn't do Indian (the country India) feet.

I think most of my preference is based on which groups I've spent the most time with, and therefore, are most comfortable with.

Whatever turns each of us on is what turns us on. In a free society there is no prescribed formula for matching up. Nothing is "wrong" if it is enjoyable and does not intrude on others' privacy or preferences. Whatever ethnic category of feet excites a footguy is what excites him. It's his private interest. The only "wrong" I see is the presumption that footguys should get involved with feet without regard for personal preference. It is a very narrow, limited mentality that views as racist the fact that someone is turned on only by feet of a particular ethnic origen.

I like very very white feet, if an arab or a black guy has very light skin feet I'll get turned on just as much as to white dude's feet, but if a white dude has darker skin feet, they just dont do anything to me. but i have to admit that in general it's more easy to find hot feet on white dudes than other race cuz of the skin tone... it's just my own opinion.
