This thread is turning into daytime confidential rather than a foot fetish thread, but anyway, it seems to me there are 2 things happening here:

1) The new regime are clearing out the deadwood

2) They are cutting the budget by reducing the cast

Sorry to be pedantic, but Chandler Massey was far from the 'original' Will Horton, there were several before him. I also don't agree that there is anything positive in killing off this character, he is a legacy character, an integral part of the cast, a Horton and an iconic gay character in soap opera history; this is a big mistake imo. Yes Chandler was great, but he chose to leave and someone had to replace him, I think Guy Wilson has done a good job in some very difficult circumstances, he's basically carried the show during an extremely dark time of low ratings and poor stories where the gay story was pretty much all that was worth watching, expected to be a lead character before he'd even settled in, he was always going to be compared to Chandler and was never going to be good enough in the eyes of the Massey fan brigade because Chandler was SO great.

I for one am sorry to see him go.

There was a storyline years back ("Greta the Swamp Girl story") in which Reckell's Bo was kept captive in a cabin by a couple of rednecks. Reckell was barefoot, clad in a t-shirt and cut-off jean shorts and tied spread-eagled to a bed for a week or so. It was very hot. Never found it up on YT, which is puzzling.

Will Horton's character won't be missed that much. Everybody on the show will grieve Will's death and move on, although I have to say, I am not looking forward to him dying, especially since he agreed to be Ben's "best man" at his wedding. How sick is that? To invite someone to be best man at your wedding, and then kill him off? Sounds crazy to me! But maybe Clyde killed Will, not Ben.

Greg Vaughn now joins the list of actors who are now no longer on Days and has already finished taping. The character Eric Brady played Greg will exit onscreen in April. Shawn Christian is also another no longer on the show and it's believed his character will die soon.

Update: If you were looking for any gay content on Days of our lives don't expect much of anything in the next 5 months because Christopher Sean who plays Paul Nartia the last surviving and only gay character left on the show said there won't much of anything coming on that front. The current writers don't seem too interested in his character and no one from the show answer why they killed Will and may have told many of their actors not to talk about it if they are asked. Christopher Sean and Deidre Hall are the only actors currently on the show to come close to saying anything about it.
